What is a quest?
We offer quests for those who would like some extra inspiration and/or challenge to draw their characters. A quest is just 1 thing, like for example "visit the Arura fields". We have two categories: general quests and World of Lanheath quests. Logically, the latter is only available if your character lives on the World of Lanheath. You can do as many quests as you want, with as many characters as you want.
What is a challenge?
A challenge usually exists out of 6 quests, which are somewhat the same "theme" or are related to the same location. To complete a challenge, your character needs to finish all required quests. After that, you send the group a note titled "*insert challenge* completion" with a link to all finished quests. An admin will check if everything's correct, and if it is - your horse earns a badge you can display on his/her reference!
Requirements
There's no deadline, you're not required to do this - it's just for those who would like an extra challenge! This is why each quest is required to be full body & with background. Shading is not needed, but it should be colored. If you like the quests but don't have much time, you can still draw them as headshots, but your character simply won't earn the badge and Lanheath will not consider those quests to be completed.
Can I add quests and challenges as well?
You can ofcourse always set personal quests for your own character. However we don't add quests/challenges from members to the offical Lanheath list here all the time, though the admins will come up with new ones to keep the list exciting.
Once in a while, we will hold contests though were our members can get their quests and/or challenges accepted as official Lanheath ones! So if you have a couple ideas, just save them and keep your eyes open for these contests.
Can I combine multiple quests in one image?
Example: your char can meet an animal that lives in water while travelling in one of the underwater tunnels. Two in one.
We do accept this. However, the max is 2 quests per image - you can't combine 3 or more in one drawing. You can ofcourse draw more in one, but you'll have to choose for which two of the multiple quests it's going to count.
If you draw multiple images and then put them together (like for example some HARPG people do with 3 day eventing entries), that's fine, no matter the amount of quests - as long as every individual drawing shown displays max 2 quests.
What are Exclusive Challenges?
Exclusive Challenges can only be completed within a certain time, usually presented in the form of a contest. By completing them your horse earns an Exclusive badge, only available that one time, and usually there will also be announced winners who will get extra prizes.
These challenges don't need to exist out of 6 quests, it can be less or more, though often it's less because there's a deadline.
Most of them take place in Lanheath, allowing a story to be added to the challenge. However we will also host general Exclusive Challenges as well, for those living in outside worlds.
